We won't be using a traditional realtor in the future when buying or selling properties and encourage anyone reading this review to strongly consider doing the same.

Loved working with David. One of the few real estate brokers that provide commissions. We were able to do most of the leg work by finding open houses and tracking listings through other commercially available websites.. We worked with David once we identified the house we were interested in. Working with David was a breeze. There were no issues with him being located in Pittsburgh and us being in Philadelphia. The seller's agent was much less professional and I think David helped shield us from some of that. Highly recommend to anyone in PA that doesn't need a lot of hand holding through the home buying process.

We came across David's brokerage when researching buyers agent rebate. Some agents from big brokerage's either don't know about it or don't want to tell you this.

I can't overstate how positive our first time homebuying experience with Insight Realty was. We worked with David, who is an expert in every aspect of real estate transactions, but more importantly he kept our best interest in mind at every step of the process.

We chose David because we wanted to save money on commission. His brokerage rebates half the buyer's commission back at closing, which allowed us to make an offer with less seller assist; something that may have been more attractive to the seller. He was able to do just about all of what a real estate agent would do except show us properties, but since we found our house through Zillow we didn't need that. The other thing that attracted us to David's brokerage was that he is an attorney. He was able to speak to the legal matters of buying a house with authority and when it came time to negotiate, the seller's agent couldn't slip anything by us.
David's disposition is warm and a little cerebral, but not patronizing like I find some real estate agents to be. He wasn't trying to sell us anything, just get us good deal on the house we wanted.
I recommend David to do-it-yourself types and internet-literate people that are skeptical about paying an agent 3%. We would use David again.

Insight's home-buying model is unique, and proved to be perfect for us: since we wanted to be more involved in the search process, and loved looking for houses on websites like Zillow and Trulia, we didn't need a realtor, but definitely needed help with the details and paperwork. Working this way gave us a lot of freedom -- we did everything on our own timeline and scheduled/attended viewings ourselves, and it was fairly easy.
Once we were ready to make an offer on a home we loved, David helped us devise competitive offers. We came to an agreement with the sellers of our dream home, for much less than the asking price. From then on, David was extremely helpful in every step of the process, from applying for a loan at the bank to closing on the house.
We highly recommend Insight Realty's services to anyone looking for a home in the Pittsburgh area. They're friendly, trustworthy, and easy to work with, and the commission rebate certainly comes in handy!
